How I Can Help

There are three ways to make a donation to The Gazette-El Pomar Foundation Empty Stocking Fund:

Click here to make a secure online donation with a credit or debit card.
Mail a check made payable to Empty Stocking Fund to P.O. Box 910942, Denver, CO 80291-0942
Call 719-476-1673 to make a stock or credit card donation over the phone.

You can also plan your own fundraising event to benefit the Empty Stocking Fund!

Simply download the turnkey documents which include details on how to easily raise money during the holidays to help those in need.

Some examples include:

Ask your friends to bring a donation for the Empty Stocking Fund in lieu of gifts at your next holiday party
If you own a business, donate a portion of the proceeds to benefit the fund during a week in December
Ask a member of the Empty Stocking Fund team to make a presentation to your friends or coworkers

You can also email your event information to liz.denson@gazette.com. Please include the event title, date, time and place, the cost, a contact person with phone number, website address and a brief description of the event.

Deadline for inclusion in The Gazette weekly ad that runs every Wednesday through the campaign (space permitting) is Monday by 12 noon.

Genesis MedSpa Gift Cards
Through the end of the year, 10% of all gift cards sold will benefit the Empty Stocking Fund. Purchase a gift card of more than $100 and receive a $20 gift card as a bonus. Please visit Genesis MedSpa for more information.

December 1 - 31
Color Me Mine
Throughout the month of December paint a stocking ornament and 50% of the purchase price will go directly to the Empty Stocking Fund. For more information, visit Color Me Mine.
Cost: Studio fees are $10 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under; $10 for one stocking ornament

December 5-18
Garden Center at Flying Horse
Buy a Christmas tree and support Empty Stocking Fund. The Garden Center will donate 15% of all Christmas tree sales December 5-18. Visit the Garden Center for more information.

Wednesday, December 21
FILL UP FOR THE EMPTY STOCKING FUND
On Wednesdays, December 7 -28, area restaurants will donate 10% of sales throughout the day to the Empty Stocking Fund. Click here for participating restaurant details.

Wednesday, December 28 from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
Skate Day at the World Arena
Enjoy the holidays and come skate at the Colorado Springs World Arena, the same ice that our very own Colorado College Tigers play on. All proceeds from this event go to the Empty Stocking Fund. Visit World Arena for more information.
Cost: $5 includes admission and skate rental

Manitou Springs Chamber of Commerce Fruitcake Toss
Finally, a good use for all those fruitcakes acquired over the holidays. Donate a can of food to Westside Cares and launch your fruitcakes for a fun filled day. The Empty Stocking Fund will also be accepting donations at the event. Visit the event's page for more information.
